I have been driving all around Woodbridge in my "Toll Mobile" trying to spread the word about the destruction they are planning to do.
I have said this before in Town Meetings that I am not in favor of zoning changes or the development of these cluster homes. I am a proud resident of Woodbridge and love the open space and beauty the town has to offer. These cluster homes would destroy that. The Country Club is a valuable asset to the residents of Woodbridge as a recreational facility.
When you see my Toll Mobile, HONK! Honk, to show that you are with me on this issue. Remember that voting for Town Selectman takes place on May 4th. No matter what your stance is, your vote counts!

Town Plan and Zoning Commission Town Of Woodbridge Special Meeting January 26, 2015
During a Town Plan and Zoning Commission Meeting on January 26, 2015, Attorney Jerald Ferrell spoke on behalf of Traditions at Oak Lane Golf Club. He expressed concern on behalf of his clients that this plan would place constraints on that property.

I, along with many other concerned residents, was at that meeting and expressed my concern about this proposal to develop the land.
Please help me spread the word about the potential destruction of this property.

What's Happening in Woodbridge
As a resident of Woodbridge, the current issue with the Woodbridge Country Club and possible development by the Toll Brothers is extremely concerning. We need to spread the word about what is happening and keep Woodbridge the lovely home we know it to be.
As most of you know, the town of Woodbridge bought the 186 acre Country Club a couple of years ago. With an 18 hole golf course, tennis court, swimming pool and club house, this has been a wonderful addition to the residents of Woodbridge.
Recently the Toll Brothers, a Fortune 1000 real estate development firm, has made a proposal to develop 126 acres of the CCW land to create homes that will be sold to age-restricted residences. These cluster homes are targeted for individuals, 55 and over, who are looking to down size, as these homes will be sold as condominiums. They propose to build these homes on the land and keep a 9-hole golf course in operation or open space.
The sale of the 126 acre land is dependent on the approval of Town residents.
There are consequences to the development of the CCW. They include but are not limited to the following.
1. Zoning change will set a precedent for potential future development elsewhere
2. Litigation will be costly to the town to try and prevent the potential future development
3. Loss of open space
4. Our property values will decrease.
5. Damaged wells due to blasting. (this occurred on Peck Hill Road)
6. Loss of wildlife on CCW due to the cutting of trees and loss of wetlands.
7. Noise pollution and traffic rerouting for an expected minimum of 7 years of construction.
8. Storm water flooding and polluted runoff in neighboring basements.
9. There will be major increase in traffic from residents of the 170 units of cluster housing
10. Litigation over the Toll Brothers' defective workmanship.
Please help me, help Woodbridge.
